Rauro stars for Police Blue Diamond

Playmaker Taniela Rauro scored a hat-trick of tries to help Police Blue Diamond beat Wardens Gold 22-7 in the 45th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.

Penijamini Naruma’s exit from the field for two minutes due to a high tackle saw Wardens wilt under pressure to allow Rauro to score his three tries, one of which was successfully converted by Senivalati Tokalau as Police led 17-0 at the break.

Wardens were again down by a man after Rupeni Kabu scooped a yellow card and an extra man advantage allowed Police to score through Tokalau.

Wardens managed to score a consolation try through Esala Nalobo and Jone Nagalu converted for 7 points.
