Tabadamu overcomes Police Blue

Defending champion Tabadamu defeated favourites Police 10-7 in the second semifinal of the 45th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today to keep its title defence campaign on track.

Kini Douglas put the first points on the board with a try while Joseva Kuricuva converted for a 7-0 lead to Police Blue.

Rusiate Nasove copped a yellow card for a high tackle but Tabadamu could not take advantage of an extra player on the field.

Police led 7-0 at halftime and Captain Petero Kelevanua got Tabadamu back into the match with a try but missed the conversion.

Quarterfinal hero Beniamino Vota again proved to be the saviour for Tabadamu as he scored a last gasp try which booked their spot in the final.
