Finishing remains a worry for Navua

Finishing remains a concern for bottom placed Navua and Coach Amit Prakash is spending more time in training with his forwards to improve in the scoring area.

The Southerners have only scored one goal in their last four matches and cannot afford to repeat a similar performance against leaders Ba in their Round 5 Digicel Premier League clash at the Uprising Sports Centre this Sunday.

“The main concern is goal scoring because we don’t have the required finishing. We want to score goals against Ba and that is something that we are working on.”

“We don’t have the finishing in the team which is really sad but the boys have re-grouped and we hope to tackle Ba down. Our backline is improving a lot and all these will be monitored when we host Ba.”

“Ba is not an easy team to beat and we have seen the level of football they play. It is us who have to keep working hard and map our plans to stop Ba from making goals against us. We have quality players in the team who are willing to give their best and this Sunday we want to beat Ba.”

“Our only message is to the fans to come down and boost the confidence of the home boys. They need fan support also while on the field and this will also brighten the team morale up.”

The Navua vs Online IT Solutions/Priceline Pharmacy Ba match kicks off at 3pm.
