Nasinu maintains senior zone lead

Nasinu maintains its lead in the Digicel Senior League Viti Levu Zone points table after the top-of-the-table clash against Tailevu Naitasiri ended in a goalless draw at the Uprising Sports Center in Navua today.

Both teams remain unbeaten after three rounds of the competition and are equal with 7 points on the points table.

In the previous round, the Mira Sahib coached Nasinu side won 2-0 against Lami and fought hard to beat Rakiraki 4-3 while Tailevu Naitaisiri under the guidance of former Rewa coach Nigel Khan has won 2-0 against Northland Tailevu and 3-1 against Tavua.

Nasinu has three Solomon Islanders on their side with former Tavua reps Waisake Sogam Nacanieli Ratu, former U20 reps Jonetani Buksh and Iliesa Rakuka to name a few.

Tailevu Naitasiri also included a Solomon Islander and former Rewa youth goalkeeper Jason Rokovuacake, former Rewa, and Labasa defender Abhishek Deo, former Ba, Rewa and Nasinu rep Malakai Lavetia and former Rewa and national U20 rep Rusitae Qio this season.
