Northerners will come our firing says Ali

Lautoka coach Imdad Ali claims that Labasa will come out firing in their next clash of the Digicel Premier League.

Ali said Labasa has been giving exceptional performance but the Blues are really to put up a strong defence against them.

“Labasa is a good team and has remained unbeaten. We have to prepare well and when I say prepare we have to stalk up all the needed gaps in the team. It will be a good battle against them because we last met at the IDC final and we have some unfinished business with them.”

“We will have to stay focused and counter attack them so that they are not able to score any goal. Our defence needs to be really strong while our finishing is good. We are able to score goals and we again have to score against Labasa.”

The current table leaders have secured 13 points and are two points ahead of Rewa while Labasa is third with 10 points.

“They will give us a tough competition but again we will put our players to  test. We don’t want to leave room for mistakes and to prevent them we have a solid game plan. We have a lot to work on following our last victory.”

“The boys have been giving improved performance and have managed to improve in each game. It’s football and mistakes happen but what’s important is learning from the mistake and improving from it.”

“Against Labasa, we want to cut down the mistakes and take advantage of the opportunities given. Our aim is to beat them with goal difference. We know they will come strong but then again we are going to make wise use of the opportunities given,” Ali said.

The Lautoka vs Labasa match will be played on the 8 or 9 of May.
