Fiji FA to reschedule events calendar

Fiji Football Association is likely to change its calendar of events as all sporting activities are currently banned in the country.

Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf said they are assessing the current scenario and if the pandemic continues evolving over Fiji, then they might change the calendar.

“Yes, we will have to change the activities planned in our calendar and some movements might be made also. We can’t blame anyone for this but have to tag along and wait for the virus to end so that we can resume with the competitions.”

“Changing the competition date is something we haven’t looked into yet, but most probably we might have to do. We are not really going to make changes in the competition date as of now since our main focus is to resume the Digicel Premier League once this situation ends.”

Yusuf also mentioned that Fiji FA will need to meet its competitions committee and come to a decision on the events planned for the season.
