Mateisuva eager to meet new-born daughter

Labasa Captain and goalkeeper Akuila Mateisuva welcomed a new member into his family today and is eagerly looking forward to reuniting with them.

His wife Milika gave birth to a healthy baby girl at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva early this morning.

Sharing the good news to FijiLive, the 29-year-old Police officer who is part of front-line duties said he had no words to express his happiness and is waiting to meet his wife and daughter soon.

“This was my early morning surprise news from my wife and I’m really happy about this good news. It just made my day. I’m just so blessed that my wife and baby managed to pull through during this hard times.”

“I really want to meet them because I have already started to miss them. I had a video call with them during my lunch break but I just can’t wait to meet them.”

“I’m really happy about the news and can’t wait to reunite with them.”

Mateisuva has so far been the top goalkeeper on the local scene this year and is yet to concede a goal in the Digicel Premier League after six matches.
