Lockdown helps Raura to recover

The current lockdown is helping Suva defender Laisenia Raura to recover from a foot injury.

Raura picked up the injury in their 1-0 loss against Lautoka in Round 6 of Digicel Premier League in April.

“Well, it’s been really hard not training with my team but we've been given the task to do at home like our own training and I've been doing it in the morning and afternoon session.”

"The long break has been a blessing in disguise for me as it is helping me to make full recovery and I cannot wait for things to be over so I can get back on the field and do what I love doing the most- playing football."

The 29-year-old former national captain also mentioned that he is eager to face his former team Ba in Round 7.

“I find this the right time to recover and train so that when we play Ba, I’m fit and fine. It will be after long when I’ll play against them and I want to give my best for Suva.”

“Ba will come prepared but that does not deter me from giving my best performance. I have some aims and targets which I hope to fulfil by beating Ba in the next round,” Raura added.

Unique Rubber Stamp Suva will host Online IT Solutions/Priceline Pharmacy Ba when sporting restrictions are lifted in the country.
