90pc footballers jabbed says Yusuf

The Fiji Football Association chief executive Mohammed Yusuf has confirmed that 90 per cent of footballers have received the first dose of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine.

Yusuf in an interview with FijiLive said most of the male footballers from the premier and senior districts got vaccinated.

He also mentioned that the stats of female footballers getting vaccinated are not pleasing.

“We did have a vaccination drive running since last month and most of our footballers have got their first jab and will get the second jab in the upcoming months. We are so happy with the district officials who are getting their players vaccinated.”

“However, I’m concerned that our female reps have been behind in the vaccination process. We are again saying that football activities may resume if all our footballers are jabbed because of safety first. We are also urging the ladies to get jabbed for their own safety,” he added.
