Babasiga Lions work on finishing

Labasa football President Rayaz Khan says improving their finishing ahead of the match against Lautoka is vital.

Khan said they will have to score goals against the Blues and avoid conceding any goals upon the resumption of round seven of the Digicel Premier League.

The Babasiga Lions are third with 10 points after securing two wins and four draws and Khan said their aim is to win the league title by remaining  unbeaten.

“It’s time we start scoring massive goals and win and we are lucky that we have not conceded any goals because our defence and attack is solid.”

“We know Lautoka will come firing but we will counter them and score against them. We are just working on our finishing and once we have achieved training on that then we will try our best to score against them.”

“Yes, because of the pandemic we are just doing personal training and monitoring our players. But training as a team is totally different from training personally because when we train together, the players are able to engage together and create that winning bond,” he added.

The Labasa vs Lautoka match will take place when sporting activities resume in the country.
