Fiji FA sets up online transfer portal

Fiji Football Association is setting up an online portal for the mid-season transfer window which opens on 15 July and runs till the end of the month.

Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf said the online portal is necessary so that players do not have to come into physical contact with his staff.

“We urge the players and districts to avoid coming down to Fiji FA to apply for transfers.”

“There’s an online portal being set up where the players can just go to our website and apply for their transfers.  This will help to save the time of everyone involved and also avoid any physical contact during this COVID-19 pandemic.”

“We have also taken away all the paperwork and have done everything electronically. The main idea is to stop people from coming into physical contact knowing that the pandemic is spreading really quickly,” he added.

Yusuf also mentioned the protal link will soon be sent to the districts which the players can use to file their applications.
