Krishna eyed by ISL champions

Indian Super League (ISL) champions Mumbai City FC are looking for a striker for the upcoming season and have their eye on Fijian Captain Roy Krishna who featured for ATK Mohun Bagan last season.

According to Indian reports, City's English striker Adam Le Fondre has officially returned to his A-League club Sydney FC while Nigerian Bartholomew Ogbeche has joined Hyderabad FC.

Their departure leaves a huge gap in Mumbai City FC's attacking department and the Islanders have also lost star midfielder Hugo Boumous to ATK Mohun Bagan.

Boumous has reportedly signed a deal around the two crores figure and breaks his own record, which he set last year to become the most expensive signing in the Indian Super League.

FC Goa is also believed to be interested in securing Krishna's services.

Meanwhile Krishna's wife and agent Naziah Ali-Krishna has stated that they are still in talks with clubs from seven countries including India and will make a decision on his next move in the coming weeks.

She said with competitions in most regions postponed till September due to COVID-19, they have more time to negotiate and seal the best deal for Krishna.
