Strict criteria for mid-season transfers

Fiji Football Association chief executive Mohammed Yusuf says they have a strict criteria for the mid-season transfer window which opens on 15 July.

Yusuf said players who have been assisted by their districts during this pandemic should think twice before applying for a transfer.

“My advice to the players is to think of the support they got before applying for a transfer because at a time like this when the Pandemic is looming over us, the districts stood tall for their players.”

“Doing application is not free like it was before and I also want to inform the players that those who have been assisted by their clubs cannot apply for a transfer but can apply in January next year. The players should also think about the efforts made by the districts in providing assistance to them during such hard times.”

“And those players who have not received any kind of assistance from their districts and wish to apply for a transfer can do so. We are not stopping them but like always there are some criteria that have been set which the players need to pay attention to,” Yusuf said.

The transfer window will remain open till the end of the month.
