We need to work on fitness, says Lal

Nadi coach Shalen Lal says the side needs to work on their fitness ahead of round seven of Digicel Premier League clash against Rewa.

Lal said fitness is what players need to have in them to give a better performance.

“When we reflect back on the last six rounds then I think we could have done better on the fitness part.”

“We still have a lot of work at our personal positions and fitness because how we train is the testimonial on the field.”

“The players have been doing their personal training at home and we are also monitoring their performance at the same time,” Lal said.

The green machine will need to build up a strong game plan and take advantage of any opportunity as they want to beat Rewa says Lal.

“Rewa is not going to be an easy team to beat and in order for us to beat them, we have to give our best. We will work according to our game plan and ensure we make wise decisions on the field.”

The Jet Setters are on the fourth spot with nine points after two wins, three draws and a loss.

Esy Kool Nadi will meet Rewa in the next round when football activities resume in the country.
