We want to remain unbeaten: Labasa boss

Labasa Football Association President Rayaz Khan says they want to maintain their unbeaten run in the Digicel Premier League.

Khan said they have not conceded any goals yet and players are well aware of what Lautoka will bring in Round 7 of the competition when football activities resume in the country.

Despite the COVID-19 outbreak not allowing the Northerners to meet and train as a team, Khan said they are monitoring the performance of their players via video.

“We have not conceded any goals and we want to maintain that but we know Lautoka will try to score against us. It’s going to be tough to play them but the boys are training hard so that we can battle them down.”

“All the teams want to meet and train but we also have to keep the pandemic in mind. It's spreading fast and we don’t want to risk our players so we told them to train at home. Just some minor things we have to keep in mind when we play Lautoka.”

“Yes, they will come out strong and we will counter them but we know they will try to take revenge from last year’s IDC final. We have some areas to work on and we are just waiting for the league to resume,” Khan added.

The Babasiga Lions are third in the DPL with 10 points after registering two wins and four draws.
