Fiji FA rejects application of Blues trio

Fiji Football Association has rejected the application of three top Lautoka players who were eyeing a move to Suva for the remainder of this season.

The three included top striker Sairusi Nalaubu, goalkeeper Beniamino Mateinaqara and midfielder Dave Radrigai.

Nalaubu and Mateinaqara featured for the Whites last season and were part of their League and Fiji FACT victories while Radrigai last featured for the side in 2014.

Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf had earlier stated that players who are assisted by their respective districts in the current COVID-19 pandemic will not be eligible to make a move in the mid-season transfer.

He said the players need to show some loyalty to their current teams and they can apply for transfer in the next window.
