Fiji FA yet to make a decision on Varman

Fiji Football Association is yet to make a decision on suspended Referees' Director Rakesh Varman.

Varman was suspended in May after a video emerged on social media where he was seen picking up rubbish at a beach along the Coral Coast and the person filming him claimed that he had thrown the rubbish.

He denied throwing the rubbish at the scene and had stated in earlier interviews that he would be pursuing legal action against the person who filmed him.

Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf said they have completed 50 per cent of the findings and once the entire investigation is completed then the board of control will sit and make a decision.

He said Varman will be given a chance to defend himself and he can engage the services of a lawyer as well.

Yusuf said once the board verifies all the details from both the parties, a fair decision will be made.
