Midfielder Kumar cleared to play for Rewa

Midfielder Ivan Kumar has been cleared by Suva Football Association to join Rewa for the remainder of this season.

Suva FA confirmed this in a post on their social media account, stating that although they had assisted the player during this pandemic, they did not want to stand in the way of the player who wants to further his career elsewhere as they believe in players being happy in the jersey they want to don.

Kumar, a former Fiji U23 rep had a brief stint in New Zealand with the South Auckland Rangers and returned home last season.

He was given very little game time upon rejoining the Whites and the switch could see him further progress in his career with the Delta Tigers.

Currently, Kumar is doing his personal training as he waits for football competitions to resume in the country.
