Women footballers impress Fiji FA

The Fiji Football Association is pleased to see the increasing number of women footballers getting vaccinated to stay protected from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf said they are thrilled to see that 95 per cent of the women footballers have received their first dose of the Astrazeneca vaccine while some have started to receive their second dose also.

He said the numbers suggest that football activities can resume behind closed doors as the male footballers have also been vaccinated.

He also mentioned that districts have been told to fully vaccinate before getting back on field ahead of October.
