Wainiqolo debuts in Toulon's loss

Fiji 7s Gold medalist Jiuta Wainiqolo debuted for Toulon in their 41-10 loss to Stade Toulousain in the second round of the French Top 14 today.

The start of the match was to Toulon's advantage but after five minutes of occupation and a completely failed attempt by a misunderstanding between Atila Septar and Cornell Du Preez, Louis Carbonel scored the first penalty of the game.

Wainiqolo crossed the Toulouse defense, but following a lost ball, Thomas Ramos recovered the ball and made his way to the opposing end-goal of a race of about 60m.

Before halftime the Toulouse scored a third try, following a new counter and an interception by Zack Holmes who crossed the field in the race to finish in the right corner, despite the return of Carbonel.

The unruly Touloners received a new yellow card. And on a penetrating maul in numerical superiority (15 against 14), Alban Placines scored the locals' fourth try.

Three minutes later, Romain Ntamack perfectly balanced his game with the foot in the arms of his winger Matthis Lebel who flattened in the corner.

Minutes later Peato Mauvaka scored the last Toulouse try on the sidelines.

At the end of the match, Lopeti Timani saved the honor by registering the only test of the RCT of this part, transformed by Louis Carbonel.
