Blues will not underestimate Labasa

Lautoka football head coach Imdad Ali says they will not underestimate undefeated Labasa in their Digicel Premier League fixture on Saturday.

Ali said they want to end Lababa’s unbeaten run in the league but he is aware that the northerners will not be an easy team to beat.

“We do have some unfinished business with Labasa although they are a good team.”

“They are unbeaten does not mean that we will take them lightly. They will play at their home ground and can turn out to be dangerous.”

“We are on a mission to beat them because they are the only team who has not suffered defeat.”

He also added the side will have to avoid giving away opportunities to the Babasiga Lions.

“Players have been advised on the areas to improve and we have also rectified some errors in the team.”

“We have to learn to take chances. We can’t be giving them free opportunities because they will be very quick to take advantage.”

“They will try to harm us but we have to stay content and be fast. They play fast football and that’s something we have known about them.”

“We also need to deliver well and improve on the set pieces. Minor mistakes will help Labasa take advantage and that’s something we want to avoid,” Ali explained.

Lautoka vs Labasa match will kick off at 3pm on Saturday at Subrail Park.
