Losing 4 matches is disappointing: Khan

Suva Coach Babs Khan says losing four matches in a row is disappointing and players really need to lift their performance.

Speaking after Suva's 2-1 defeat to Ba on Sunday, Khan said they gave away the match due to poor decision making on the field and lapses of concentration in the defence.

"We could have easily won the match if we used the chances well and made good decisions."

"Our players were not playing like a unit. The defenders were playing their game, midfield was not functioning well and the strikers were trying hard but were not connecting. So we failed to play as a team."

He said he understood the frustration of fans after the match and as a coach, he also felt disappointed.

"This is the first time for me to lose four games in a row too and we had a lengthy conversation in the change room after the match."

"We hope to iron out issues this week and come out wiith a better result. We also hope to get some of our key players back," he added.

Defending champions, Unique Rubber Stamp Suva sits on sixth spot with 7 points after 7 matches.
