Navua gears up for Nadroga clash

The Navua football side is training on all aspects as they are eager to beat Nadroga in round seven of the Digicel Premier League.

Coach Amit Prakash said fitness has been an issue for the team but he is confident the side will counter the Stallions.

“Both the teams will want to win but the team that trains the best will come out as winners.”

“Yes, Nadroga will come out firing but we will not step behind. We will put up a strong defense against them and attack them as well.”

“Fitness is one of our downfalls because players were out of the field for six months and they have been affected. They need to get trained very well so they are ready to play 90 minutes of soccer.”

Prakash highlighted the two friendly matches against Suva helped them to iron out minor errors from the team.

“The two games informed us of our weaknesses and strengths. It helped us to see the mistakes and how we improve on them”

“Playing against Nadroga will be a bit tough but the players are excited to get back on the field. They are getting into shape and are fully aware of the game plan,” Prakash added.

Navua will host Moshin’s Insulation Nadroga at 3pm at the Uprising Sports Centre on Sunday.
