Sukuna Bowl confirmed for Dec 17

The 2021 Ratu Sukuna Bowl will be played on 17 December at the ANZ Stadium.

The annual event which is traditionally played in November will take place a month later this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the involvement of Police and Military officers in COVID-19 operations around the country.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the competition was tabled last week and the date has been confirmed.

She also confirmed that only three main sports, Rugby, Soccer and Netball have been given the green light to go ahead.

Other sports like Cricket, Boxing, and Athletics wait for the approval from authorities.

Rugby and Netball will be played on 17th while Soccer will be played on 19th  at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Naisoro said this year's competition will acknowledge the efforts of  front line workers who have been working tirelessly in combating COVID-19.
