Suva registers big win over Rakiraki

Suva Futsal registered a huge 7-nil win over newcomers Rakiraki Futsal in the opening match of the 2021 Digicel Futsal Inter District Championship at the Vodafone Arena in Suva today.

It took Suva more than five minutes to score the opening goal via a free kick taken by Shahil Dave.

Suva pulled two back to back goals from Reginald Singh and Vineet Nadan which saw them lead by 3-nil at the break.

Coming off the break, the whites maintained the pressure in the match and Singh scored his hat trick while Sunny Deol came off the bench and took a powerful shot and extended their lead.

A left footy pass from Azariah Soromon saw Suva utility Filipe Baravilala tapping the ball into the net and further extended the lead.

HLB Mann Jud sponsored Suva will take on rival Lami in their next pool match at 8.45pm tomorrow.
