Blues yet to consider Sims, Saifiti for Origin

New South Wales Blues Head Coach Brad Fittler is yet to make a decision on including Fiji Bati forward Tariq Sims and Newcastle Knights prop Daniel Saifiti in the team for the State of Origin.

Sims had a difficult start to the season, finding himself out of the squad but has been solid since.

With the emergence of a number of gun backrowers, Sims may be forced out of the side having not been starting for the Dragons.

An injury hampered Saifiti’s start to the 2022 season and the Knights lack of form could see his spot come under fire.

Knights Head Coach Adam O'Brien hasn’t been starting his star prop which could also cast doubt on his selection.

Fittlers said players like Latrell Mitchell, Ryan Papenhuyzen, Tom Trbojevic, Brian To’o, Isaah Yeo, Nathan Cleary, James Tedesco and Payne Haas have locked their spot in the Blues team.

The first Origin match will be played on the 8 June and second on 13 July.
