Our aim was to win FACT opener: Mannu

Tailevu Naitasiri Assistant Coach Priyant Mannu says their mission was accomplished at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today as they had planned to settle for nothing less than a win against Nasinu in their opening match of the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT.

The Security Services Management sponsored side defeated Nasinu 2-1 with striker Epeli Valevou and midfielder Abhishek Deo netting their goals.

"We had come in with a mission to win that first game against Nasinu, and we did it," a proud Mannu told FijiLive.

"Not saying it was an easy game as Nasinu came back hard as they always do, but we kept our composure to take the win."

He added the boys would begin to settle now they had an important win in the bag.

Tailevu Naitasiri will play host Nadroga in their second Group B match at 5pm on Thursday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
