We are chasing medals: Mar

The Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) chief executive Lorraine Mar said Team Fiji will be chasing medals at the 2022 Pacific Mini Games in Saipan in June.

Mar said the seven sports that will be participating at the Games are going for a mission and not for sports development purposes.

"FASANOC does not consider the mini-games for development."

"Any games we go to, the expectation is that we are chasing the medal and not for development."

"Those sports that have qualified have senior and new athletes and they were selected based on their performance and potential."

66 athletes have qualified for the Mini Games that will be held from the 17- 25 of June in Saipan, Mariana.
