Brown happy with hard fought win

Highlanders Coach and former All Black Tony Brown has saluted his players for putting on their best performance in the second half to beat the Fijian Drua 27-24 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Saturday.

Brown said though they played against 15 Drua players in front of a near capacity 15,000 manned crowd, it felt like they were playing against much more.

"We felt like we were playing against a million people, the atmosphere was just electric," Brown said.

He said he was proud of the performance put in by the Drua in their first Super Rugby competition especially with the style of play they bought to the game.

"You just cant stop that kind of footy and it is so exciting to watch."
