In-form Matarerega eyes more goals

In-form Rewa striker Rusiate Matarerega is aiming to continue scoring more goals for the Delta Tigers and says they will show more fighting spirit when they take on Labasa in Round 11 of the Digicel Premier League at home on Sunday.
The former national, Nadi, Lautoka, Suva and Nadroga marksman who netted three goals in the OFC Champions League qualifier against Lautoka and also scored in Rewa's 1-1 draw against Ba yesterday said they are using all the DPL matches as a buildup to the regional competition and every match is important.
The 30-year-old Bavu villager said consistency will be the key.
"We want to improve in every match and we did that against Ba and we will do the same thing in the upcoming games."
"It's important that we erase all the weaknesses now so that when we get to the OFC we are ready to match up."
"The players have been responding well to the training but we just need to focus on DPL because we also want to win the title for the first time."
"We want to win the League title and I’m confident the players will continue to show more fighting spirit."
"We will be playing Labasa next and we know they will come up with something and we need to prepare ourselves for the next obstacle," he added.
Glamada Rewa will take on NZ Fan Club Labasa at 3.30pm at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park.
