Tailevu Naitasiri registered a 2-1 win over Nasinu in the first match of the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today. The Nigel Khan coached side played with a lot of focus and determination, and it only took them three minutes to get on the score-board. A well taken free-kick by Mohammed Naizal was headed in by striker Epeli Valevou, leaving the Nasinu defenders and goalkeeper Viliame Rakuro stunned. Nasinu threated with some attacking moves but Taniela Rakariva, Jasnit Vikash and Ni-Vanuatu attacker Douglas Willietien failed with their attempts as Tailevu Naitasiri led 1-0 at the break. Captain Nasoni Mereke got the leveler for Nasinu in the 71st minute after heading in a well curled free-kick from defender Semi Tabaiwalu. Hardworking attacker Abhishek Deo became the hero for Tailevu Naitasiri after finding the back of the net with a powerful shot in the 93rd minute.
