5 players chase FACT Golden Boot

Five players are leading the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT Golden Boot race ahead of the semifinals.

Labasa strikers Christopher Wasasala and Ratu Apenisa Anare together with Ba's Emosi Navaba, Suva's Malakai Rakula and Lautoka defender Antonio Tuivuna have all scored two goals in group matches and will look to extend their tally in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, a total of 58 goals were in group stage matches.

13 goals were scored in the first round at the ANZ Stadium in Suva while 10 goals each were scored on Day 2 and 3 at Lawaqa Park.

Day 4 produced 9 goals while the final day of group games saw 15 goals, with the clash between Ba and Nasinu alone seeing seven goals.

In terms of bookings, a total of 65 yellow cards were flashed with three red cards.

Labasa Captain Sitiveni Rakai was sent off  via a direct red card in their 2-1 loss to Lautoka while Nasinu's Ravikash Krishna and Ba's Peceli Sukabula were given their marching orders after copping two bookings.
