Bad weather affects Ba's preparations

Bad weather is affecting Ba's preparations for its upcoming Digicel Premier League fixture against Rewa.

Coach Imdad Ali told FijiLive that they are struggling to prepare as the wet conditions is making players sick and forcing them to train in water-logged grounds.

“It is hard to prepare, when you can’t train,” Ali told FijiLive.

“We can’t blame the ground owners, they do not want to damage their properties, but now we cannot get a team training session in.”

Ali said the fixtures have been received and the schedule is still set to run.

“We still have to play Rewa this weekend.”

“But when we get time to train together, and whether it will be enough time will be the question.

Rewa will enter the match with the favorites tag, coming off a handsome 4-0 win over Lautoka on Sunday which booked their spot in the OFC Champions League.

The Delta Tigers also defeated the Men in Black 1-0 in the first round of the DPL.

The Ba vs Rewa match kicks off at Lautoka's Churchill Park at 1pm on Sunday.
