Ba Coach Imdad Ali says utility Nabil Begg will boost Fiji's campaign in the OFC U19 Championship in Tahiti.
Begg's excellent performance in the Digicel Premier League saw him make the cut in the46-member squad named earlier this week.
“Nabil is a home grown talent. His gallant performance and hard work in the Digicel Premier League saw him make the national team in just a year which for any other player could take 2-3 years," Ali told FijiLive.
"He has excellent talent and has also received the exposure at just 19 which means he will play a key instrumental role in the under 19 team."
"I think he should be included in the final team because he has been giving his best performance in every game he plays."
"Whatever lessons he learnt at Qatar, from the opponents, from the players-he has displayed that on the field and I have seen it."
"In the Fiji FACT he was marvelous not only in scoring but also in setting up goals."
"As a Coach I see him as an impact striker. If he comes from the bench, he creates a different atmosphere on the field."
"I see him as one of the most talented youngsters in the country who is daring and also could be threatening at the Under 19 qualifiers," he said.
The OFC U19 Championship will be held in September.
