Digicel national women’s Head Coach Lisa Cole will announce the final squad for the OFC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers next week.
Cole told FijiLive that players are in the current three week camp and selection for the best 25 players will depend on their fitness and football understanding.
“I mean, we're, we've been in camp for the last two and a half weeks going on three weeks.”
“Right now we have 25 girls and they are from all women’s football districts in Fiji.”
She also said players are being informed about the different level of football played at the World Cup and domestic level.
“We're getting the players fit and ready for the demands that are going to be placed upon them coming up for the tournament.”
“Focusing on selecting the team and figuring out our best line-ups based on each situation and who are the players we could count on and also just in general, getting them fit and ready for the games.”
“I think the demands of the international game and demands that are placed upon them within the Super League are different.”
