Fiji FA to open $600K gym soon

Fiji Football Association is expected to open its $600,000 gym this month ahead of the 2021 Women's and Under 19 World Cup Qualifiers.
Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf told FijiLive that $400,000 worth of gym equipment will be bought from New Zealand.
"This will be a gym on its own and will help the national teams prepare for the world cup qualifiers."
"We had the plan to open it in March this year but because of the pandemic, things slowed down and it pushed us to open late.
"But we are most likely to open it any time this month so that the two national teams can use it for their preparations."
"The gym cost us $600,000 and we are going to buy $400,000 worth of equipment. It will arrive from New Zealand soon."
"Initially we planned to have it for the national and district teams but now it will also cater for the general public where they will have to pay a certain amount of gym fee," he said.
The Women's World Cup Qualifiers will be played in Fiji while Tahiti will host the Under 19 World Cup Qualifiers.
