No Drua reps for Skipper Cup

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua players cannot take part in any domestic competitions.

With Drua players in surplus around the country after the end of the Super Rugby Pacific regular season, the Fiji Rugby Union is urging rugby unions not to field Drua players in their various competitions, which includes the Skipper Cup.

"We have received a few queries from unions wishing to use their players who are in the Fijian Drua team to play for their team during our domestic competitions," a circular from Tournament Director and Operations Manager  Sale Sorovaki said.

Please be advised the FRU is not entertaining such requests, and Unions will be penalised should Drua players be found playing for any team."

A number of Drua players were drafted from the Skipper Cup competition and have a strong provincial affiliation to their teams.
