Pratap out to prove critics wrong

Labasa Coach Ravneel Pratap is out to prove critics wrong after guiding the team to the final of the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

Pratap told FijiLive that upon joining the Babasiga Lions last year, people criticised him and also questioned his coaching capability.

“It’s a really special final for me.”

“It will be my first final since I joined Labasa last year.”

“I received a lot of criticism that I am a young coach and they also challenged me as a coach when Labasa was not doing well in the League last year and the same this year.”

“There were a lot of things people said about me of which the majority was negative and I always wanted to prove them wrong.”

“This tournament is very special for me because it’s my first with the side and now that we have reached the semifinal, I want to prove people wrong.”

“Whatever criticism I received did not deter me from giving my best for the side and I got encouragement from my players.”

“Whenever we lost or won, the players would be humble and we always say that every game is a lesson.”

“So the negative comments from people made me and the team strong and today we proved that Labasa is a strong team to beat Ba,” he added.
