Former National women's Head Coach Marika Rodu has set his sights on the Digicel Premier League title for the first time as a coach with the Rewa team.
After leading the side to victory against Lautoka in the OFC Champions League playoffs over the weekend, Rodu told FijiLive that he wants to taste the league victory as a coach.
"Yes, I have won the league title as a player but that was the victory of a player."
"Now I want to win the title as a coach because winning as a coach will be a different victory."
"The Rewa football officials and players are trying their best."
"We are second on the table and we are pushing forward for the same level of performance we gave during the playoffs."
"There are definitely some things like our discipline and defence that need improvement and we will rectify that because we want to maintain our winning form."
"We have not lost any league game so far and that is something that keeps motivating the players to play their best football," he explained.
Rewa will face Ba at 1pm at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on Sunday.
