Tavua wins President's Cup

Tavua clinched the 2022 Fiji FA President's Cup after beating Northland Tailevu 3-1 in the final at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka today.

Tavua opened its account in the 24th minute after a Ratu Dau free-kick was headed in by Abhishay Kumar.

Northland Tailevu was reduced to ten players just before halftime after midfielder Rohil Narayan was sent off following his second booking.

Tavua led 1-0 at the break but a beautiful freekick from Northland's Nischal Lal in the 59th minute leveled the scores.

Tavua striker Kasim Khan made several attempts but Northland goalkeeper Ryan Mishra daringly tipped the ball away.
