Team Fiji ready for Mini Games

Team Fiji Chef de Mission to the Pacific Mini Games Ajay Ballu says the team is ready to do the nation proud.

Team Fiji which consists of 94 athletes and officials presented their traditionl itatau to his execellency the President of Fiji Ratu Wiliame Katonivere at Government House today.

“The team is in high spirits and ready to go,” Ballu told FijiLive.

“The message to the athletes has been clear, and that is to go and do there best.”

“They have been chosen and selected by the national federations and they are the best at what they do.”

“This is not a development squad and we are not going on a holiday, we are going to win medals and will show the nation that we chose the right people.

The team flies out this Saturday for Saipan in Northern Marianas.

The Pacific Mini Games begins next week Friday June 17.
