Teamwork will be key: Serritslev

Digicel National football Head Coach Flemming Serritslev says teamwork will play an important role in the Fiji Under 19 team at the OFC Under 19 Championship in Tahiti.
Serritslev said football is played by 11 men and not one and that is his message that keeps encouraging the Under 19 players.
"First of all, I will say we have a very good time compared to what we are used to coming from Europe. So we really have good possibilities to prepare the team and of course, as coach Ronil Lal said, we will have to prepare the fitness very well."
"And then also of course we need to play a team together so that we can line up at a team that will function as a team and not as 11 individuals when we take the field."
"We know we've faced strong opponents, we saw some very good teams from Oceania in the World Cup qualifiers and we know we'll need to be prepared absolutely best possible to achieve our goals at the Championship."
He also said there was a criteria followed in naming the 25-member squad and players will be trained at every position thoroughly before September.
"The criteria is to choose the best football players but maybe the best football players would be 15 midfielders and attackers but we couldn't use them like this."
"So we have been choosing that we will have three goalkeepers."
"We will have nine defenders, we will have nine midfielders and we will have four attackers so they are selected by their positions on the field."
