Rewa Head Coach Marika Rodu says the side has been using the GPS tracker to track the fitness and performance of players on the field.
Rodu said they have been monitoring the physicality and heart rate of players and it has progressively helped the side.
"It is a good build-up for us in terms of our whole preparation for the OFC Champions League."
"We try to get the best team possible."
"Globally it's the way forward to manage the team, players, game and their training."
"It's an important tool for football to manage the players physically and track them in terms of their performance."
Rodu further urged football districts in Fiji to invest in such a tool to boost the performance of their players.
"We have been using it since Round one of League and it went on until Fiji FACT and it was a key in our OFC playoffs."
"This way we can see the players' workload. We can see those that are giving 100% in terms of intensity and the volume of their performance and we make plans on how to improve."
"So, it gives us data, it gives us information."
"I think districts should invest in such a tool because it helps keep track of players’ performance," he explained.
