Wasasala nets winner in Labasa's comeback win

Striker Christopher Wasasala netted a late penalty as Labasa came from behind to beat Nasinu 2-1 in Round 10 of the Digicel Premier League at the Uprising Sports Centre in Pacific Harbour on Saturday.

The Southerners with the services of former Suva and Fiji U20 goalkeeper Alifereti Baleloa started well and creative midfielder Clarence Hussein opened their account in the 35th minute.

Veteran Taniela Waqa found the equaliser for Labasa in the 72nd minute and Wasasala snatched the winner via a spot kick in the 83rd minute.

The win pushes NZ Fanclub  Labasa to the sixth spot in the DPL standing with 11 points while NZOTC Nasinu remains at the bottom of the table with 7 points.
