Dau, 13, impresses in Nasinu's draw

13-year-old Maika Dau put on a stellar performance for Nasinu and scored a goal in their 3-3 draw against Suva in the Digicel U19 League at the Fiji FA grounds on Saturday.

Dau, the son of former Rewa and national rep Lorima Dau, was the youngest player on the field.

He started the match and looked dangerous every time he had possession.

Dau is part of Fiji FA's U16 development programme and starred at the recent Futsal carnival in Suva as well.

A brace from 15-year-old Meli Talevakaiua and a strike from Dau gave Nasinu a comfortable 3-0 lead before Suva replied with goals from  Kaliova Senikalavo, Naliku Jumatuki and Eneri Rotikara to tie up the encounter.

Meanwhile, a Rohil Narayan goal saw Northland Tailevu beat Rewa 1-0 and go on top of the standings.

In another match, Tailevu Naitasiri beat Navua 3-1.
