Junior Bula Boys through to semis

The Digicel Junior Bula Boys have progressed to the semifinals of the OFC U19 Championship in Tahiti after outclassing Samoa 4-1 in the first quarterfinal this morning.

Midfielder Melvin Mani was the hero for the Fijians as he netted a hat-trick in the match.

A Mani double gave the Ronil Lal coached side a 2-0 halftime lead.

Samoa threatened with a goal early in the second half to Victor Leddy but a penalty by Mani and a further goal by his replacement Peniasi Rotidara sealed victory for Fiji.

Fiji’s opponent will be known later today as the other quarterfinals are currently underway.
