Nadro plays cautious IDC approach

Nadroga is not counting its eggs before they hatch, ahead of the 2022 Courts Inter District Championship next month.
Drawn in Pool A with Fiji FACT champs Suva, Nadi and arch-rivals Navua, Head Coach Joseph Nand says every team will come firing in the tournament.
"People might feel that Pool A is an easy Pool but it's otherwise."
"It's not an easy pool because in a tournament, teams come very well prepared and we can’t underestimate any team."
"In the league, we always have chances to bounce back and recover the lost points but every team knows that it can’t happen in the tournament."
"So we are drawn with three competition teams and we expect them to come out firing."
"We have played Suva twice in the league and lost to them but in the tournament, we held them, so that is something different."
"Teams change in the tournament and that’s what we also have to do."
Nand said their preparation began after the stallions finished on the seventh spot in the Digicel Premier League.
He added they will take each game at a time while the team is working on their fitness ahead of the tournament.
"Our IDC preparation began straight after BOG despite our loss in the league, the boss regrouped and continued training."
"We just have to work on our fitness because some players felt tired in the game easily."
"Fitness is the main area for improvement in the team."
"Some of our players are away on national duty but their absence does not affect the team in preparing for the tournament."
The Courts IDC will be played from the 5th to the 10th of October at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
