Nadroga beats 10-man Nasinu

Nadroga registered a 2-0 win over a 10-man bottom placed Nasinu in Round 16 of the Digicel Premier League at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva today.
The Amani Makoe captained giant killers started off well but some scrappy play in defence saw Manasa Levaci copping a yelllow card in the 9th minute.
A more organised Nadroga midfield tried to string in passes to set up attacks but Zain Ali and Ronesh Kumar missed good sitters.
Nasinu received a free-kick in a handy position in the 19th minute but Captain Amani Makoe attempt sailed over the cross-bar.
The Stallions opened their account in the 39th minute through a beautiful set-piece.
A well curled free-kick by Fiji U19 rep Zoheb Rahim found Ali in the clear and the youngster unselfishly laid the ball in the path of an unmarked Paulo Buke who made no mistake with his shot which sent goalkeeper Alivereti Baleloa in the wrong way.
Nadroga led 1-0 at the break.
The Southerners toiled hard in the second half and strikers Mohammed Shazil Ali and Nasoni Mereke worked overtime to keep the pressure.
They however suffered a blow after Levaci copped his second booking and was sent off, reducing them by a player.
Timoci Raibiriki and Nemani Dolodai replaced Taniela Rakariva and Jope Naivalu.
Nadroga kept the pressure and a good set up from Ato Yankson found Rahim who slammed the ball past a diving Baleiloa.
Both the teams continued to make further changes with Nasinu adding power play to their striking force as Epeli Saukuru and Inia Boko replaced Shazil Ali and Mereke.
Nadroga made equivalent substitution pulling goal scorers Rahim and Buke out and fielding in Yogendra Reddy and Sajneel Sharma.
