We need to stay alert: Rodu

Rewa coach Marika Rodu says the team needs to stay alert despite winning their Oceania Football Confederation Champions League Opener against Nikao Sokattak.

The Delta Tigers proved to strong for their Cook Islands counterparts with a 3-1 win.

“We can’t let our guard down now,” Rodu said.

“At this level all teams have come prepared.

Rodu said they had put the win behind them and would look to begin preparing themselves for their next match against the hosts Auckland City.

“We are getting right into our recovery with the players.

“For the coaching staff there is no time to rest and we have to analyse our last game and work on our weaknesses.

“Auckland City will not be an easy game, but preparation is key to everything.

Rewa takes on Auckland City on Monday at 12pm.
