Labasa beats Suva, remains unbeaten

Labasa maintained its unbeaten record in the Digicel Premier League after beating defending champions Suva 1-0 at the ANZ Stadium today.

Midfielder Akeimi Ralulu's thunderous left foot strike from out-wide in the 10th minute made all the difference for the Babasiga Lions.

Suva toiled hard to search for the equaliser but finishing let them down.

Ni-Vanuatu striker Alex Saniel missed a golden chance late in the first half while replacement Merrill Nand's attempt bounced off the right post late in the match.

Labasa has moved up to the third spot with 10 points while Unique Rubber Stamp Suva after their consecutive loss remain on sixth spot with 7 points.
